Job Summary
The Financial Analyst (FA) performs financial analysis, escalation of issues, and reporting functions for MarketSource’s Business Units. The FA collaborates with Client Services, Back Office Departments, and Accounting to ensure accurate data and fiscal management of assigned programs. The FA is proficient in the financial administration of programs which includes budgeting and forecasting, and ad hoc reporting. The FA role requires skill in Microsoft Office suite, building customer relationships, financial acumen, and the ability to work independently and function in a team environment. The ability to adapt to changes in the workplace and strong written and verbal communication skills are also key to success in this position.
Essential Functions
Performs financial analysis for assigned programs with monthly reporting
Preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, financial reports, and variance explanations for respective programs
Monitor program adherence to approved budgets and provide revenue & margin analysis
Develop and present supporting explanations for month end results requiring variance analysis
Implement monthly reporting and analysis of programs, including P&L review with program leadership
Profitability analysis of ongoing programs
Partner with Program Accountant for respective programs
Understand Agreement amendments/modifications and incorporate changes for customer support, financial analysis
Recommend actions to Program leadership through analyzing and interpreting data

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Oracle
Must be able to build customer relationships, be detail oriented and can adapt quickly to changes in the workplace
Requires financial acumen and problem-solving abilities
Professionalism and strong verbal and written communications skills
Must have ability to work independently and function in a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to lead team projects both within Finance and cross functionally
Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment in which open/honest communication is expected
Strong analytical skills
Strong problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis on customer service
Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills and the ability to follow through on tasks
Working knowledge of Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to communicate to a diverse audience in non-financial terms

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business (Accounting or Finance preferred)
One year of financial operations/analysis or accounting experience, preferred
