The Financial Analyst Implements the development, maintenance, and consolidation of budgets, variance analysis, forecast, business plans, goals, investment/project analysis and strategic planning processes. This role may include Capital as well as O&M responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare financial budget/forecast (including IS, CF, BS schedules). Prepare the monthly actual-to-budget variance analysis for income reasonability review with accounting team. Prepare the monthly budget review reports and analysis for management (reports, variance analysis, gathering forecast information).Complete analyses and prepares presentations in support of results to management and investment decisions.Prepare investment analysis in support of project development, revenue growth/M&A opportunities, special studies, and benchmarking analysis.Lead departments on Budget Development, strategic planning, and business plan development. Lead trend analysis in support of strategic planning efforts.Support the development & monitoring of corporate strategy; perform financial and scenario analyses of strategic alternatives.Develop and lead the financial modeling and evaluation of growth projects, cash flow, balance sheet and Income Statement.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in financial planning and analysis (financial balance sheet, cash flow, tax/accounting implications of business decisions, project/ M&A analysis). Strong knowledge of investment analysis concepts.Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. SAP and Powerplan experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organization skills. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and public speaking including the ability to develop and conduct effective presentations to the executive management).Qualifications:
