Financial Analyst
Job Title: Financial AnalystJob Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving business decisions through actionable financial insights. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, develop and refine financial models, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities + Within 1 month, you will get introduced to the organization and business partners, develop a deep understanding of the product, business model, and financials, and shadow the Finance & Accounting Team during the monthly close and management reporting on actualization, basic analysis, and data entry. + Within 3 months, you will refine and optimize existing financial models, perform data clean-up and validation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data inputs, assist in monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, equip product managers with insights on business trends, support the development of short and long-term financial plans, and assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests. + Within 6 months, you will develop, enhance, and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making. You will assist in department-level budgeting, tracking, and reporting processes, support strategic decision-making through various analytics initiatives, assist in the transition to a new accounting system and chart of accounts, and help drive business decisions by providing actionable financial reporting. Essential Skills + Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in corporate finance roles within a dynamic operating company + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline + Experience integrating systems, especially with Workday + Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills + Ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations + Self-starter with a strong motivation and passion for the role + Ability to work hands-on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, high-growth environment Additional Skills & Qualifications + Relevant financial planning and budgeting experience within a high-growth company + Strong understanding of operating expenses (OPEX) + Advanced financial modeling skills, including organization, dynamic data transformation, data analytics, forecasting methodology, and attention to detail + Basic understanding of the fintech landscape is a plus + Experience with Excel (pivots, lookups; macros a plus) and BI tools + Experience working through an ERP implementation is a huge plus Work Environment This is a fully remote position, with a preference for candidates in the PST timezone but open to other locations. The Financial Analyst will work with a team of 9 members, including 2 focused on OPEX. The company operates in the fintech industry and manages a budget of $30 million across 26 departments. The role may involve presenting data to C-suite and stakeholders, depending on the level of experience. The company is currently on NetSuite but will be implementing Workday in January.
