Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Assist Management with system implementations and testing.Prepare analysis for Management and external auditors for quarterly and Annual analytical reviews. Keep position procedure documentation up to date.Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues, including reconciliation and auditing of company records.Investigate and analyze discrepancies and recommend issue resolution. Escalates as needed.Prepare and run various daily, weekly, and monthly reports; sort and distribute for use as necessary.Assist with Company projects as assigned. Expected to cross-train in multiple department positions.Develop reporting for internal or external use as needed.Demonstrate initiative in process flow and identifying efficiencies.Additional data analytic and compliance projects will be assigned as needed by management.

Areas of reporting focus could include the following: sales, gross margin and operating income by company, region, and store; labor; inventory; and weekly forecasting.

Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative in understanding process flows and identifying efficiencies within current processes. Possess the skills to edit reports in current ERP system and utilize current budgeting software to input and maintain budget submissions.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Education and/or Experience

4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.0 - 5 years of experience in a field of accounting or finance, internship preferred if 0 years of experience.

Senior Staff Accountant Criteria

3+ years of experience in a field of accountingPrevious experience as a Financial Analyst preferred.Ability to identify financial issues and propose resolution to management.Display the skills to operate and lead the department in manager absence.Act as a role model and provide guidance to staff accountants and clerical staff.Advanced spreadsheet/database/computer knowledge.
