Financial Analyst

At Amalgamated, we're helping those who do good, do better. The Finance Banking Analyst Intern has a data-driven responsibility for assisting with projects across the Finance Department. Projects may be geared toward (but not limited to) data integrity, report writing, communicating, analytics, process automation, and routine transaction processing. The position requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and strong command of analytics software, such as Excel. This position is part time and expected to range from 12-20 hours a week. Essential Job Functions: + Work with large quantities of data to be turned into information + Assist with invoice processing and other accounts payable job functions + Monitor and help to manage external communications from vendors and other departments within the Bank + Assist with reconciliations of low risk accounts + Maintain active communication channels with reporting manager on deliverables, project status, timeline, risks, and concerns and with other departments on special projects as needed + Perform other duties as directed Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements: + Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting + Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications: excellent Excel and Word skills + High efficiency as a reliable problem-solver + Communication: speaks clearly and effectively, is thoughtful, persuasive; writes clearly and informatively; varies writing style to meet business needs + Dependability: completes tasks on time; takes responsibility for own actions; can be relied upon + Teamwork: promotes team goals over individual accomplishment; provides assistance and guidance to other team members; participates in team activities Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $20/hr – $24/hr. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
