As a Financial Analyst, your responsibility is to conduct quantitative analyses of information that impacts budgets, operating expenses, and other financial projects. Your focus will be on short and long-term financial planning and analysis of business operations, aiming to measure and forecast future business performance. You will develop a strong understanding of business processes and data flows to perform ad-hoc financial impact analysis. In this position, you have the ability to make positive financial contributions to the company by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring a consistently high level of reporting integrity.
WHAT OUR FINANCIAL ANALYSTS ENJOY MOST
Building a strong understanding of business processes and data relationships necessary for understanding a business need, analyzing related data, and delivering reporting that provides key insights used in decision making.Implementing Charter's financial reporting governance process, including maintaining the financial reporting hierarchy and the chart of accounts.Evaluating and validating necessary financial hierarchy and chart of accounts changes resulting from various business and industry changes, including business structure changes and acquisitions.Reviewing results of audits received for accuracy and identifying trends or anomalies.Facilitating the delivery of data or reporting that supports operating expense variance analysis and reporting.Building and deploying financial models and utilizing analysis to identify cost savings opportunities.Analyzing, educating, and recommending changes to accounting operations policies and procedures to support a strong control environment.Tracking, documenting, and working to resolve outstanding project tasks and issues.Preparing and reviewing reports and other analysis as required to achieve financial objectives.Performing analysis of data trends on operational budget spend to enable the team to meet Key Performance Indicators.Utilizing analysis to identify cost savings opportunities.Creating an operating expense re-forecast.Performing a monthly review of financial statements and identifying trends.Performing other duties as requested.As part of our Finance team, you’ll play a big part in telling and improving Spectrum’s growth story. Required Qualifications
