**Financial Analyst**
**JOB SUMMARY:**
This position within Southern Power’s Corporate Finance team will support partnership management activities across 47 renewable assets and 14 equity and tax equity partners. The analyst will support the Partnerships team which serves as the primary point of contact between Southern Power’s internal organizations and third-party partners in performing obligations under partnership agreements.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS:** (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills **)**
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Degree in technical or business field such as engineering, finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent preferred.
+ An MBA or advanced degree in these areas or related field is a plus.
+ Experience with contracts associated with utility scale renewable projects
+ Knowledge of the wholesale energy market and electric system economics
+ Demonstrated project management skills
+ Self-starter with strong organizational skills
+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, management, executives, HR, legal, counterparts within Southern Company, and external counterparties
+ Highly skilled at managing multiple assignments with minimal direction in time-sensitive environment
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
+ Experience in managing SharePoint repositories a plus
+ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
**MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external partners.
+ Conduct training sessions on overall processes, policies, and procedures, including the use of technology.
+ Provide guidance on partnership requirements to internal organizations as issues arise.
+ Coordinate the negotiation and execution of partnership consents with internal and external resources.
+ Communicate and track significant developments with external partners.
+ Support the management of partnership obligations within LLC/MSA agreements, including:
+ Drafting, reviewing, and submitting partnership monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
+ Preparing meeting materials for recurring partnership meetings and recording minutes.
+ Managing partnership SharePoint sites to document deliverables and company records.
+ Coordinating the development and communication of budget items.
+ Develop and communicate an internal partnership action item tracker.
+ Manage Monday.com tracking for Corporate Finance.
+ Support SPC Market Intelligence initiatives.
