Financial Analyst
**Our Opportunity:** We at Chewy seek a highly motivated, analytical, and hard-working Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing Operations Finance team! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy fulfillment center growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. **What You'll Do:** + Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership. + Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance. + Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, Supply Chain, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations. + Actively participate in the target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes. + Lead all aspects of the monthly close process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures. + Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance. + Optimally lead numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment. **What You'll Need:** + BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics. + 0–1-year relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and grasp of financial statements. + Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis. + Sophisticated Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills. + Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, and Oracle ERP is a plus. + Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to tackle problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and carry out to deadlines. + Able to work with ambiguity and changing priorities. + Strong written and oral communication skills. **Chewy is committed to equal opportunity.
