Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Financial Analyst for a 3-6 month assignment. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong business acumen to contribute to key organizational initiatives and financial decision making.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the organization’s decision making around several initiatives/program areas. Work may include cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and business plan development. Your insights will drive data-informed decisions and help benchmark performance, understand lease agreements, and assist with government grant reporting.

Key Responsibilities:Develop cash flow forecasts to support program planningConduct scenario analysis to evaluate financial and operational impacts of key decisions.Create and refine financial models to assess business opportunities and risks.Collaborate with stakeholders to write comprehensive and actionable business plans.Perform benchmarking to evaluate organizational performance against industry standards.Analyze and interpret lease agreements, identifying financial implications and opportunities.Research and understand government funding models, ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits.Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) is a plus.Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and business planning.Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.Proficiency in financial software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage several projects simultaneously.Demonstrated adaptability and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
