Financial Analyst

Our client is large and established in the retail and manufacturing space and is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their growing finance team. The role will be a mix of reporting, accounting, planning, and analysis. It is a dynamic role with varied responsibilities and the opportunity to report into a Director to provide lots of opportunity for growth.\r\n

Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to:\r\nPrepare in-depth monthly review of business financial results, while also highlighting the performance of all key operational initiatives and business risks\/opportunities \r\nLeverage data to develop meaningful and innovative reporting that will deliver insights that enhance business decisions \r\nWork closely with accounting to improve the overall efficiency of the finance organization as well as improve visibility and depth of understanding of all key financial metrics \r\nSupport the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives \r\nSupport annual financial planning process, quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and ongoing analysis of actuals versus prior periods, plan and\/or forecasts \r\nSupport the development of an capital plan supported with business cases to ensure future investments are aligned with strategic priorities and are delivering strong returns \r\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders across the company to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions \r\nPrepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports for payroll-related accounts \r\nPerform in-depth variance analysis for compensation & benefit-related accounts on a regular basis \r\nHelp with annual fiscal budget preparation for payroll-related accounts \r\nHelp to manage all bonus programs and track year-to-date bonus liabilities \r\nHelp to manage the payout of bonuses and profit-sharing programs \r\nManual payroll cheques reconciliation \r\nVacation reconciliation \r\nPrepare merit increase sheet once a year \r\nCompensation benchmarking analysis \r\nAnalyze the financial impact of minimum wage increases \r\nHelp to build a Compensation Band \r\nAny other compensation and benefit projects as required \r\nFor the right individual, this position also includes the opportunity for future growth and advancement within the company  \r\n\r\n
