The Financial Analyst role will be responsible for preparing various reports systematically using Oracle (FUSION) and POWER BI and managing monthly balance sheet reviews by operational business lines, providing balance sheet historical data and variances for cashflow preparation, preparing and submitting required quarterly and annual reports to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (US Federal Government), coordinating required SOX reporting, performing Blackline reconciliations, posting and approving journal entries and responsible for managing changes to the chart of accounts, coordinating those changes with the corporate governance team and the finance community.
You will be relied upon to work closely with the extended global accounting teams on transactions impacting corporate accounting (i.e., taxes, acquisitions, and liquidations of legal entities). In addition, you will be expected to interact with other corporate departments, such as, Tax, Treasury, SEC reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis and external auditors. This role reports to the VP Finance Consolidations in Newark NJ. Your assigned local office is Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Responsibilities:
• Perform control checks on monthly trial balance and research anomalies (transaction drill-down).
• Possess fundamental understanding of accounting for foreign currencies.
• Responsible for accurately performing balance sheet reconciliations for basic accounts.
• Collaborate with external auditors responding to requests quarterly and at year-end.
• Provides support globally for processing, and recording transactions in ledgers, assisting with monthly
deliverables with a focus on accounting policy and local compliance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Required 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in accounting and/or auditing.
• RCA /ACCA or candidate preferred as the candidate will report to CPA’s in the US.
• Ability to work independently, perform complex analysis and summarize data efficiently.
• Must possess project management skills and able to meet designated deadlines.
• Requires data analysis and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Proficiency in Oracle EBS (FUSION) and POWER BI reporting tools are desired.
