Financial Analyst
Description We are welcoming a Financial Analyst to our team in the Manufacturing industry based just outside of Roanoke, Virginia, United States. In this role, you will be conducting audits, managing fixed asset inventories, and engaging in financial reporting tasks. Responsibilities: • Oversee the auditing process of freight invoices in accordance with contracts. • Manage the importation of audited files into the ERP system. • Coordinate with transportation carriers to address discrepancies. • Undertake carrier statement reconciliations. • Collaborate with the UPS audit partner to evaluate, analyze, and improve freight costs. • Develop monthly freight reports for the consideration of management. • Detect trends and highlight potential freight issues, providing assistance in problem-solving. • Administer physical inventory checks of fixed assets as per the ERP system. • Update the fixed asset inventory to reflect additions, disposals, sell-offs, and audit discrepancies. • Evaluate electronic expense reports to ensure adherence to company policies and general ledger coding requirements. • Support in the creation of internal financial reports and reports for the parent company. • Provide assistance to accounts receivable and accounts payable when necessary Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Strong understanding and application of Accounting Functions is crucial. • Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is necessary. • Ability to handle Annual Physical Inventory tasks efficiently. • Demonstrated expertise in Month End Close activities. • Proven experience in Annual Financial Reporting. • Ability to accurately Review Invoices is a must.
