Responsibilities
The role of a Food - Nutrition Finance Analyst in a hospital requires a combination of specialized financial expertise and an understanding of the food and nutrition sector within healthcare. Here’s an expanded outline of the key responsibilities and skills required for this position:
Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to provide insights for decision-making. Provides oversight to ensure accuracy of hierarchy in all applicable FNS platforms within each region, including CaterTrax, Computrition, Meal IQ, Volante and/or other applicable systems.Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets , and forecasts to achieve FNS short- term and long-term goals. Collaborate with leadership to develop pricing strategies and cost optimization initiatives. Assist in budgeting, variance analysis (productivity, cash reporting, forecasting, accounts payable) and strategic planning within FNS. Utilize systems and tools for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.Perform internal audits and implement internal controls. Monitor and analyze food and beverage costs, labor / productivity expenses, and other operational expenditures.Manages departmental cash receipts reporting; prepares assigned monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and analytics.Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments for FNS, for timely rebates. Accurately compiles productivity processing and cost accounting data, as applicable, to all levels of FNS management. Actively pursues resolution of identified issues.Maintains system statistics and upholds a close working relationship with operations to ensure standards are kept current, and automated for foodservice. Assists with assessing guest experience-related surveys, entering relevant data points, and reporting individual comments to applicable leaders.Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7 years in the accounting/finance field.Preferred:
