Job Description
Collaborate with location General Managers and Controllers to drive profit improvement at plants requiring extra financial and operational support. Utilize systems, reports, data, Excel, and relationships to build analytical models and identify business drivers related to key strategic initiatives. Engage in analysis and reporting to help improve margin/cost structure in business units. Support business teams in developing their strategy and executing critical analysis. Enhance business intelligence and planning tools. Create recommendations around key business issues to present to Leadership.
ResponsibilitiesInterpret how various components of a process or structure impact one another and draw accurate conclusions by interpreting data correlations.Detect inconsistencies in available information and anticipate problems, opportunities, and business needs.Understand the financial framework of the organization and use financial processes and metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Use cost-benefit thinking to set priorities and recognize the impact of income and expenditure adjustments on projects and the organization overall.Thoroughly understand financial statements and relationships between income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Knowledge of supply chain concepts, operating models, and cost accounting concepts is a plus.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or finance-related curriculum.2+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience.Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables/ VLOOKUPs).Ability to travel up to 10%.Additional Skills & QualificationsMBA or CPA is a plus.Experience in mid-size manufacturing companies.Knowledge of Power BI.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday with mandatory 3 days per week in the office, with flexible starting times between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. Located in St. Louis Park, the role primarily supports fluid milk plants with some cultured products. Responsibilities include general support for RFPs, sales modeling for business units, sales support, and marketing. The team operates on a fiscal year, with monthly accounting close done in the first 5 days of the month. The finance department is busiest from the 4th to the 8th day of the month. The team consists of 3 members plus a summer intern. The work environment is relaxed and collaborative, promoting hard work while making work enjoyable.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
