This position will be required analyze profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management. Generate forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Research economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning. Provide financial analysis and support in proposals for new contract awards. Support accounting with month-end close and tax reporting functions. Support DCAA audits and client fact-finding requests by providing financial data and analyses. Create financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc. In addition economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation, and investments may be required. As well as demonstrate solid understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

 

Major Position Responsibilities Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects.Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against financial goals.Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.May also support corporate planning by conducting analyses of operational effectiveness and capacity utilization. Basic Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of relevant Education & ExperienceEquivalent Combination of relevant Education & ExperiencePreferred Education: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Finance/ Accounting   Years and Area of Experience (required for the role):0-2 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Cost Estimating or related Finance degreeKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Account reconciliation. Business valuation. Financial analysis. Financial forecasting. Trend analysis. Financial analysis software. Financial research and analytics software.
