Financial Analyst I works collaboratively with Accountants Revenue Cycle professionals Managed Care Third Party reimbursement and Financial Analysts to properly oversee changes from one month to the next of changes to net revenue under the RCA toolJOB DESCRIPTIONAnalyzes account receivable and revenue activity for acute entities by reviewing data through the RCA tool Determines reasons for why variances occur month to month When appropriate takes corrective action in resolving variances problems and issues when identifiedmiddot Analyzes data to assist finance leaders complete close reviews packages utilizing standard work reporting AR reconciliations transaction monitoring monitors themes to determine recommendations meeting all required month end deadlinesmiddot Completes special reports as requested provide financial expertise for reportssurveys as needed by others and assist managers in understandinginterpreting monthly financial reportsmiddot Captures key performance indicators for improvement based on the RCA tool Reports key statistical data regarding payment patterns denial details etcmiddot Responsibilities will include system maintenance developing reports expanding application functionalitymiddot Works closely with stakeholders from different functional units mainly revenue cyclemanaged care CareConnect on topics including but not limited to billing payments RCA logic and denial managementmiddot Acts as a resource to other units within Hartford Health Care Corporation by providing financial data and other support as a member of a team or in response to requests for informationmiddot Assumes responsibility for self improvement in collaboration with supervisor by identifying communicating and seeking resources or instructionvalidation to written communication skills and will be expected to interact with various levels of staff and managementmiddot yearsrsquo experience in analyzing preference given to a health care background or BABS
