This position will enter invoice payments, serve as the first point of contact for vendors, assist with monitoring GSD Property Management Division (PMD) service contracts and will be responsible for creating and utilizing a variety of data visualization tools including info graphics, charts, graphs, etc. to communicate results effectively and succinctly. The duties of this position include: + Payment of invoices for GSD’s Property Management Division + Act as first point of contact for vendors making inquiries regarding payments or payment status + Help maintain and analyze PMD historical contract data + Recommend contract and budget actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. + Use innovative ideas to create strategies for streamlining payment and Purchase Order processes + Assist with preparing the annual PMD Budget. + Assist with external and internal audits, assist in due diligence process, interface with the Strategic Procurement Division and other city departments + Maintain accurate list of PMD vendors and vendor contact information and vendor payments/invoices + Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as requested + Assist in other matters as requested by the Department Director WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditioning. The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of video display terminal. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two years of professional experience in finance, economics, budget analysis or a closely related field are required. Four years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. An Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field and two years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. A Master's degree in a field directly related to the job may be substituted for the above experience requirement LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None PREFERENCES **Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.** Preference will be given to applicants with the following skillsets: + Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques. + Data analytics skills + Demonstrated experience in using SAP + Familiarity with the basic budget process and procedures + Strong problem solving, analytical, and transactional research skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skill + Highly detail oriented GENERAL INFORMATION SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED The selection process will involve application review and/or interview.
