Financial Analyst II

**This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Fort Belvoir, VA.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Fulfill all job responsibilities and skills required for a Financial Analyst I, to include:
+ Analysis of line of accounting information.
+ Processing funding increases within DAI.
+ Notification of 448-2 acceptance to customers and contracting.
+ Ensure the timely processing of funding documents and contract modifications.
+ Support the analysis of financial reports to identify any records that are out of balance.
+ Prepare, deliver, or participate in training and testing events in DAI or other financial and record keeping systems.
+ Support the implementation of corrective action within financial systems, support audit readiness and internal control activities.
+ Maintain financial transaction documentation, identify potential areas of process improvement, and assist with business process improvement initiatives.
+ Willingness to assume leadership billet or responsibilities.
**Analysis**
+ Participate in the Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DARQ).
+ Participate in advanced analysis of financial systems and contract modifications to process de-obligation actions.
+ Support the research and reconciliation of financial data as needed, in partnership with the Defense Financial and Accounting Service (DFAS), DAI PMO, DTIC/IAC customers, supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
+ Participate with the PMO office, DFAS, Requesting Activity and Contracting on conference calls/meetings as needed to ensure the timely processing of documents.
**Financial Systems Helpdesk**
+ Analyze the monthly code of service report to ensure all applicable delay reasons are noted for DTIC metrics.
+ Engage and liaison with DAI stakeholders, DFAS, and DAI PMO to provide Tier I helpdesk support.
+ Brief Project Manager weekly on workload statistics and report metrics for Service Desk tickets.
+ Support Fiscal Year (FY) closeout activities, including funds execution, reconciliation, validation, and certification.
**Qualifications**
+ DoD secret clearance required.
+ Four-year degree from an accredited university with a minimum 3 years of experience in relevant training, professional experience, or strong interest in Finance or Accounting related discipline. Equivalent work experience or military service (5 years of active duty regardless of MOS) can be used to substitute educational / degree requirement.
+ Experience that demonstrates excellent organization and people / customer service skills, demonstrating exceptional email etiquette.
+ Demonstrated ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multitask, and work well independently.
+ Experience that demonstrated strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
+ Experience in analysis, reconciliation, and research.
+ Experience with or knowledge of DoD financial management and financial systems, MIPR processes, and or DAI is highly desired.
+ Must be able to provide hybrid support during core hours (M-F, 0800-1600), with ability and willingness to provide support outside of the core hours as needed.
