The position will also compile, calculate, analyze, reconcile, and document financial and data related to each program area. The incumbent will effectively communicate, both written and verbally, regulatory, and budgetary issues to both internal and external stakeholders. Essential Duties + Conduct independent and accurate research via the Internet and a variety of other traditional and nontraditional sources for grant funds available through local, state, and federal governmental agencies and draft grant applications with minimal supervision + Collaborate and coordinate with other personnel affected by grant opportunities to obtain required data and needed background information (i.e. program goals and objectives) that outline how funds will be used + Practice time management and organization to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in an effort to produce quality work to meet deadlines + Reconcile a variety of financial records and information; maintains appropriate back-up documentation + Prepare, review, and submit a variety of reports, reconciliations, work papers, communications, schedules, tables, and/or statements to and from internal departments and external agencies + Coordinate and participate in special projects related to financial activities + Research, interpret, update, and maintain a variety of records, databases, and/or logs + Analyze and monitor compliance with financial, reporting, and legal requirements + Prepare a variety of reports related to activities in assigned area of responsibility + Manage identified grant programs including pre-award, award, reporting, closeout, audit, and records retention Grade The grade for this position is C42(1). Public Speaking Duties This position may provide periodic department training. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field; and + Four (4) years of professional level accounting experience; or + An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
