GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIESThe Corporate Support team at SCI exists to provide analytical support for all IT Financial activities. We provide financial support to help IT Management make strategic financial decisions that impact the company’s bottom line. There is a high degree of visibility in this department. The IT Senior Financial Analyst expands and promotes financial awareness within the IT organization to assist budget owners on tracking financial implications as it relates to costs control within their respective departments. This role is a crucial part of this department, taking on the core analytical and reporting work on assigned topics and serving as a liaison between IT overhead departments and Financial Reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Analysis & Financial Support
Prepare and maintain scheduled ad-hoc reportsPrepare monthly exception reports for variancesPrepare and Analyze MTD, QTD, and YTD budget to actual variance for all 22 IT departmentsPrepare Income Statement write ups to describe budget to actual variance for financial packagesConsolidate annual budgets and prepare financial presentation packages for IT ManagementTrack monthly, quarterly and annual Cap Ex budgets and spend by IT projectAssist with budget inputs in Anaplan, our cloud based budgeting toolSCI uses Anaplan, a cloud based business planning software. This position will require extensive usage for analysis and reportingCreate ad-hoc analysis and reporting upon requestEvaluate and perform continual process improvementsPrepare and maintain desktop proceduresAssure that expenditure coding remains accurate and uniform across all instancesPromote a collaborative partnership between the finance and IT departmentsCORE / CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant fieldExperience:
Three (3) years of advanced financial analytics and modeling experience is preferredProficiency in financial analysis techniquesStrong accounting and business acumen with the ability to interpret financial dataProficiency in Capital ExpendituresWorking knowledge of relational databases, Power Pivot and Power Query are preferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel is preferredExperience working with Oracle or other accounting ERP is preferredExperience with system management, Anaplan, preferredWORK CONDITIONS
