Financial Analyst - Production Finance

  

 

 

Overview & Responsibilities:

 

The Financial Analyst will be an important member of the Paramount Media Networks and Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios Production Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will interact with many different groups within the organization. As part of an aligned FP&A team the Financial Analyst will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Production cash & development forecasts and budgets, tracking risks & opportunities, and using analysis to assist in driving informed decision-making with KPIs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

The Financial Analyst will work with Production Finance on monthly deliverables & Ad hoc requests

 

Maintain & communicate the production finance calendar Maintain the production cash, development & EFC summary files Work with the production finance leads to analyze & understand forecast variances Track & analyze production cash & development risks & opportunities Prepare reconciliations and variance analyses of forecasts/budget to actual results of production cash and development Update the shows delivery status in the system to facilitate the EFC accrual process Forecast & manage production management cost centers Ad hoc requests and analyses

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

2 to 3+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or equivalent quantitative roles Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training required (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics) Strong analytical skills, with an ability to understand and articulate financial data High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail Strong team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Longview & SAP is a plus!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 72,500.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
