Financial Analyst-Senior

Such projects will support both internal and external customers. They will be expected to solve problems encountered through the application of judgment and precedent. The Financial Analyst-Senior shall oversee management of executive team records, business development documents, annual budget reporting, board of directors’ financial presentation material and all financial operations files. The position will require working collaboration with other team members, business units and Corporate Accounting. This position will serve as a subject matter expert for the Finance Department and utilize this knowledge to perform tasks that require advanced proficiency, including acting as functional lead for financial systems/processes, crossing training and advising staff. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree required. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. + Five (5) years of financial analysis or accounting experience required; financial analysis or accounting experience in the insurance or pharmacy benefit management industry preferred. + Ability to utilize, maintain and enhance financial reporting systems and recommend reporting and process efficiencies. + Analytical skills to prepare and analyze business plans, technical designs and financial reports. + Minimal supervision required on projects. + Ability to be detail oriented in the documentation of complex processes (i.e. create workflow diagrams, action plans, process narratives). Attention to detail is critical. + Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Self-motivation and initiative, as well as an ability to perform under pressure. + Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in fast paced environment. + Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Proficient in a PC windows and MS Office environment. Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analytic or query tools preferred. + Proven examples of displaying the PBD values: Trusted Advisor, Innovative, Excellence, Guardianship, Dedication and Caring. **Essential Accountabilities** + Prepare monthly billings for Self-Funded Clients and EGWP Plans for PBD and manage receivables. + Assist in RFP request around cost modeling and set up billing processes. + Build and maintain trending models and KPIs. + Work with PBD Management and IHA Corporate Accounting to provide financial and analytical reports on a timely basis, including accurate data for various financial statement items. + Collaborate with the business units as part of an integrated team and serve as the financial advisor to the business. Anticipate and address the financial issues that impact business performance. Provide specialized services and reports to meet business needs. + Develop or update procedure documentation for department procedure manual. Maintain and update yearly. + Assist the leadership team in developing custom reports to aid in the review and analysis of company products and department expenditures as it relates to the annual budget. + Prepare and/or review supporting monthly/quarterly/annual schedules for audit and management. Respond to internal/external requests within the required timeframe. + Create, develop and prepare financial summary reports for management by using accounting software/applications. + Prepare data and analysis for reporting and for internal/external audits. + Coordinate and analyze the financial data to prepare the PBD annual budget process. + Prepare and maintain rolling twelve forecast models. + Analyze and interpret customer contracts for revenue impact and provide recommendations to leadership and budget owners. + Monitor product performance, focusing on what is driving cost and utilization and identify any gaps or opportunities where PBD could increase profitability and present potential solutions. + Consult with management to identify needs or gaps and develop ad hoc reports as a supplement to routine management reports through query building and data extraction. + Propose and assist in development of process improvements and automation within the department. + Ensure overall data integrity. + Understand multiple sources of data and identify and utilize most relevant source to complete task. + Review and approve all accounts payable/expense reimbursement in accordance with Model Audit Rule and corporate policy. + Assist PBD associates in interpreting and complying with the accounts payable internal policies and associate reimbursements. + Lead functional area in the design and implementation of systems, upgrades and process improvements. + Cross train PBD team such that staff can lend support for all lines and processes when needed. + Help with Vendor Contract Requests, enter in RSAM and monitor workflow. _Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position_ Hiring Compensation Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually _Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience._ In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off.
