RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Financial Analyst in the Foodservice Finance team, you will function as a business partner driving Revenue growth across the Foodservice Segment’s Trade, Deviations and Profitability strategies. In this critical role you will ensure the financial integrity and profitability of the business through sound fundamentals in financial forecasting, planning, and reporting. The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic business initiatives as well as developing financial forecasts, variance reports and driver analysis to support their portfolio.  This role provides an opportunity to serve as a strategic business partner for cross-functional partners and support key initiatives with high executive visibility.

Drives efficient topline growth and profit expansion by analyzing and optimizing $300M in annual sales adjustments for trade and deviations. Manages annual trade budgets and Balance Sheet liability position with stakeholders to create recommendations for action with leadership.Responsible for analysis and reporting of sales performance, overseeing annual sales goals alignment for the Foodservice Division. Able to leverage pricing strategies, advise on target margins and formula-based pricing models to drive strategic growth initiatives.Identifies need for analysis and proactively uses internal and external data to uncover insights, leverage analytics, and unlock growth opportunities for the organization.Builds strong relationships, manages timelines, coordinates and collaborates with cross functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other cross functional partners. Maintains the financial models and inputs for their respective business. Supports key corporate initiatives including Integrated Business Planning, Total Portfolio Optimization, innovation targets/tracking, and customer segmentation.Identifies opportunities and drives change in support of continuous improvement.Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and provides insights for leadership as requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Level of position offered (Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst) will be determined based on candidate's experience and skill set. 

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.2+ years in Finance or related FP&A experience depending on level.Strong communication and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to search and work-cross functionally to form recommendations.Advanced Excel and modeling skills.Professional verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated pattern of initiative and accountability.Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness.Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.Ability to work across all levels of the organization.Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

Advanced professional certification in analytics or finance.4+ years finance or related FP&A experience.Familiarity with Tableau, Oracle cloud/SmartView. Experience in Brand Finance, Finance, Marketing or Revenue Growth Management within Foodservice and/or CPG industry.

 

Location: Austin, MN

 

A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.

 

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $80,800 -$128,400 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
