What will you do?

As Financial Analyst in Brightly Software, you will be responsible for financial planning and controlling of the Software business. In this role, you will serve as the Finance Business Partner to the Customer Support & Success Vice President & global management, focusing on controlling and analyzing all Software KPIs, costs, and headcounts. Additionally, together with the Customer Support & Success team, this role will push the digitalization and automation of financial planning, controlling and reporting processes at Brightly to the next level.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Software KPI Management: Perform Global Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), ARR Churn, Revenue Churn, Gross Retention & Net Retention budgeting, forecasting and analysis (per product and per geographies). Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee financial planning, forecasting, controlling, consolidation, and reconciliation of Software Support & Success cost. Headcount Management: Plan, report, and analyze headcounts by position and geography. Contractor Management: Plan, report, and analyze contractor spending. Compensation Planning: Design and administer variable compensation plans for the Customer Support business. Business Intelligence & Data Automation: Overall Software Services Data Reporting, Intelligence & Automation Productivity Improvements: Support business partners in driving productivity improvements. Management Reporting: Drive and support various management reporting tasks.

Location: This position is a hybrid in-office role based out of Toronto ON requiring a minimum 1-2 days a week in-office presence.


What will you need to succeed?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or related field. 5 - 8 years of finance/accounting experience. Experience in Software finance, Financial Controlling and Modelling in a Software Business is highly preferred. Experience and/or proficiency with the following: Business Intelligence Tooling such Power BI, Tableau or similar, Salesforce PSA, ERP Software, MS Office. Able to work in a hybrid model with in-office presence 1-2 days a week. Demonstrated ability and/or experience to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse global locations and thrive in a dynamic virtual work environment. Competencies: Self-Driven and motivated professional; good collaboration skills; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; attention to detail; goal oriented; strategic thinker.
