Join Cottage Health as the Financial Analyst Sr. The Financial Analyst Sr. provides support and analysis to Planning & Analytics, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Managed Care Contracting, Service Line Administration and Hospital Leadership. Prepares routine daily, monthly and quarterly reports for distribution to hospital leadership. Prepares ad-hoc reports for various customers. Maintain software/systems in Planning and Analytics to ensure accurate and meaningful data.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION 

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience (8 years of work experience in a fast-paced accounting and reporting environment.) 

Preferred: Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Healthcare Administration

 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Minimum: Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Must possess knowledge of accounting principles. 

Preferred: Previous experience in hospital administration/finance. Proven experience reconciling and auditing data, working with filters, lookups, pivot tables and charts, understanding logic functions and importing and exporting data between systems. 

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE 

Minimum: Five (5) years of experience utilizing computer systems in daily work at the data analytics level and experience with insurance, hospital and/or financial applications and/or systems leading to a demonstrable knowledge of principles, theories and standards of accounting, as well as knowledge of hospital financial operations, reporting and planning. 

Preferred: Five (5) years of experience in hospital administration/finance. Examples of dashboards previously developed that illustrate the mastery of data, trend analysis and potential opportunities. Experience researching laws and regulation, seen as a plus.
