Financial Assistance Specialist

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.

Position Details:

Location: Remote (after two weeks of onsite training)Status: Full timeShift: 8:00am - 6:30pm (4 10-hour shifts)Days: Monday through Friday /Every other Saturday

 

This Financial Assistance Specialist opportunity is a full-time remote position. Team members must reside in Florida.

This role requires onsite training in Tampa, Plant City, and Clearwater for 10 business days. The schedule is M-W 8:00AM-4:30PM / TH-FR 8:30AM - 5:00PM (after training, the team member will work the hours listed above).

Responsibilities:

The Financial Assistance Specialist is responsible for identifying ER patients thru bedside assessment and interview who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies. May act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies. The Financial Assistance Specialist must be able to clearly documents all activities.

Experience

Required 3 years Healthcare customer service or Social Services with High School DiplomaOR 1 year Healthcare customer service or Social Services with an Associate's DegreePreferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded/ underfunded patients
