Behavioral Coaching:
Work with hundreds of individuals across academic, geographic, socioeconomic, cultural,
linguistic, and ethnic backgrounds each year to share foundational money management
lessons and spark healthier habits around budgeting, saving, and spending
Conduct one-on-one virtual money coaching sessions with participants by facilitating a
dialogue that prompts critical thinking and self-awareness while navigating a shared digital
experience.
Pilot experimental coaching protocols and techniques as a part of a test-driven environment
to merge behavior change with digital technology
Apply motivational interviewing techniques (e.g., active listening, probing questions,
withholding opinions/advice) to create a judgment-free space for participants to learn, reflect,
and commit to healthy behavior change
Create personalized action plans that align to participants’ goals, breaking major objectives
into practical, manageable steps.
Motivate, guide, and empower participants to progress through the Money Canvas program
and meet their financial wellness goals
Make appropriate referrals to other support services as needed (e.g., credit counseling)
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with participants to provide ongoing support
between sessions – address inquiries, reinforce new perspectives on money management,
celebrate progress, and work through setbacks
Maintain client data in a customer relationship management (CRM) platform, capturing all
required client information and documenting consistent and accurate client notes for impact
reporting and relationship handoffs
Coordinate and schedule coaching appointments while remaining responsive to daily inflows
of phone, text, and email communications with clients.
Ongoing Administrative Work:
Actively manage appointment calendar, input client and session data in a timely manner,
participate in professional development, and complete ongoing training as provided, on
programs and services
Communicate in a timely manner with your team and other stakeholders who may contact
you with inquiries about the program
Adheres to all policies guidelines related tooperations, by being reliable to
work schedules and responsibilities, following regulatory and quality-control requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of two years of work experience in financial services, financial planning, economic
development, social work, community organizing, teaching, or other related fields
Strong empathy / high levels of emotional intelligence
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively in a virtual setting
High-energy individual who demonstrates confidence, accountability, and strong time
management skills.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptive positive attitude in a constantly changing environment
Detail-oriented, with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques to promote quality,
efficiency, and successful customer outcomes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook – and videoconferencing
platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
