Financial Controller EMEA HQ

Financial Controller EMEA HQ will manage financial planning and analysis activities for Electrophysiology EMEA Headquarters to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the organization’s financial goals.

In this role you will act as the key business partner for the EMEA Headquarter Function Leaders. You will closely collaborate with Regional Controllers, Corporate Finance Services (CFS) team and Abbott Shared Service Organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

Act proactively during monthly closing and review/analyze Operating Expenses & Other COGS figures on a daily basis during closing period.Drive controls and visibility over pricing & margin improvement initiatives with/for countries.Set up and lead the monthly Other COGS meeting with supply chain and investigate/comment on variances between budget vs actuals.Coordinate quarterly the Latest Best Estimate (LBE) updates for EMEA HQ cost centers.Participate in the monthly closing calls with the Abbott Shared Service teams and advise if adjustments need to happen.Coordination and follow up of adjustments/accruals as a result of the monthly closing review meeting.Ensure full financial compliance with all activities in scope.Provide ongoing standard analysis support to the EMEA Electrophysiology HQ teams. Distribute monthly Operating Expenses details and discuss/review figures with HQ Function Leaders via meeting or conf call.Act as the main FP&A contact person for Corporate Finance Services for the entities in regards of EMEA Headquarters.Provide high level business finance support to the Brussels based Headquarter departments.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting / finance.At least 8 years of experience in a similar function in a multinational environment.Language skills: Fluent English.Excellent accounting and organizational skills.Strong analytical and communication skills.Strong experience in Excel is a must and SAP knowledge is a strong asset.MS Office knowledge.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company.Result oriented: meet deadlines and focus on quality.
