Job Description

You will support the financial information and systems of the Eurofins Agroscience Services Group, contributing directly to the achievement of strategic and financial objectives. The main focus is on ensuring the accuracy of financial accounting figures (HGB and IFRS) across the Eurofins Agroscience Services Group and partnering with both National Service Centers and the Business Controlling team.

Controlling:

Collaborate with the Business Controlling team during month-end closings and assessments.Managing Balanced Scorecard, assist with forecasting and financial budget processes.Support NWC and dunning management.

Cost Monitoring:

Supervise monthly allocation of costs to team/business unit budgets using agreed methods and systems.Prepare periodic summaries and reports for management discussions.

Financial Accounting:

Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and manage month/year-end closing processes (HGB/IFRS).Ensure accuracy of financial data for labs in Europe (several legal entities with over 800 employees).Assess monthly/quarterly accounting statements (balance sheets and income statements).Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in collaboration with the National Service Center.Ensure compliance with legislation for all business activities.Liaise with internal and external auditors.Support company mergers and splits.

QualificationsProven work experience as a Financial Accountant, Financial Controller, or a similar role.In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and standards (HGB and IFRS).Familiarity with accounting and tax regulations (experience with German statutory accounts preferred).Experience with controlling tools for budgeting and forecasting.Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools in a financial context is a plus but not mandatory.Fluent in English; additional fluency in German or French is advantageous.Values: Team player, proactive, impactful, independent, and highly ethical.
