Provides ongoing support for point-of-service initiatives; focusing on uninsured, underinsured, and credit risk patients. Provides support to patients in completing financial statements and/or loan applications, establishing payment plans, and collection of payments. The Financial Counselor must demonstrate computer proficiency and specific technical skills in reporting, tracking, and documenting patient encounters. They must exhibit role model behavior and provide excellent customer service at all times to both internal and external customers. The Patient Financial Counselor must perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Education necessary to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
