Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst in the manufacturing industry, based in Lakeville, Minnesota, United States. The role involves supporting our team by analyzing and synthesizing significant data sets to assess performance, streamline procedures, and make data-driven suggestions for improvements. Responsibilities: • Evaluate distributor and sales representative performance using financial and customer data, pinpointing areas of achievement and underperformance. • Work in collaboration with the finance department to scrutinize multi-year data for territory payouts and assess revenue trends by customer segments. • Combine and consolidate internal data with external distributor data to generate a comprehensive performance evaluation. • Create and cultivate data models to discover insights, identify necessary modifications in distribution channels, and support decision-making processes. • Ensure data sets are prepared and cleaned as required to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and relevancy for analysis. • Utilize Power BI to link various data sources, construct interactive dashboards, and visually present findings. • Collaborate across teams to collect additional context, validate insights, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. • Deliver analysis and recommendations in accordance with project timelines. • Use data mining techniques and financial modeling to support data analysis and reporting. • Leverage Excel proficiency for data cleanup and manipulation tasks. • Perform sales analysis and reporting, utilizing knowledge of sales channels and metrics. Requirements • Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques, with the ability to extract and interpret relevant information. • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and Power BI tools for data visualization and analysis. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas. • Demonstrated skills in Financial Modeling, with the ability to create and modify models to predict, understand, and improve financial performance. • Strong background in Data Analysis, with the ability to gather, interpret, and use data to support decision-making. • Capability to Perform Data Analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights in large datasets. • Experience with Ad Hoc Reporting, with the ability to create custom reports based on specific needs or requests. • Proficient in Business Reporting, with the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner. • Experience with Data Reporting, with the ability to present data in a way that is understandable and actionable. • Knowledge of Sales Channels, with the ability to analyze and optimize channel performance. • Experience in Sales Analysis & Reporting, with the ability to use data to drive sales strategies and initiatives. • Understanding of Sales Metrics, with the ability to track, analyze, and report on key sales indicators.
