Financial Data Analyst
Description Our client is looking fo a term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst in Oakland, California, within the Healthcare/industry. In this role, you will be tasked with data collection and reconciliation, bid support, pricing, and presenting findings to support business strategies. Responsibilities: • Collect and reconcile data to support business strategy and performance • Provide statistical, analytical, and technical expertise in the rate-setting process • Coordinate statistical and utilization information from various departments • Make recommendations and implement changes to data collection systems for improved financial, statistical, and utilization data • Research areas of concern that influence the fiscal well-being and recommend action if necessary • Participate in the monthly and quarterly business reviews, including preparation of management reports for discussion and distribution • Monitor and critically review data submitted by others for timeliness, clarity of presentation, conciseness, validity, and accuracy • Prepare graphs, charts, and other statistical representations demonstrating high proficiency in the use of Excel • Review data to identify patterns, trends, etc., and draw inferences for quality and process improvement projects • Design models and analyses to solve novel questions and inform strategic decision making • Support audits with federal, state, and external CPA auditorsOur Requirements • Applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage. • Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry is essential. • Proficiency in budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting, is required. • Strong skills in adaptive planning are necessary to anticipate and respond to changes in the financial landscape. • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and extract relevant insights. • Proficiency in using finance-specific software tools and platforms. • Excellent communication skills to present financial data and insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to align financial strategy with broader organizational goals. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure. • A detail-oriented qualification such as CFA or similar is desirable.
