Job Description:The Data Analyst in Purchase, NY is a key position in the Strategic Quote Management (SQM) department. The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for the request for quote preparation, coordination, processing, and when needed negotiation support of contract opportunities from Aerospace & Defense companies. What You'll Be Doing:Request for Quote Processing: Responsibilities include processing request for quotations assigned to them. This work consists of preparation of part list, electronically sending to product marketing for supplier pricing, review preparation of product marketing responses, processing into departmental template, scheduling pricing strategy review with Sales, updating customer response file and delivery to Arrow Global Account Manager. Negotiation: Responsibilities include attending customer on-site and/or remote negotiations as a data support administrator. This work consists of processing customer price feedback data and updating negotiation template, ad-hoc reporting, and populating customer template with counter offer pricing. Award Processing: Responsibilities include processing of awards as a result of request for quotations assigned to them. This work consists of preparation of part list, electronically sending to product marketing for supplier pricing, review preparation of product marketing responses, processing into departmental template, scheduling pricing review with Sales for items we cannot accept as awarded, updating customer response file with exceptions only and delivery to Arrow Global Account Manager. Award Implementation: Responsibilities include all processing steps associated with final award actions for all assigned quotations. This work consists of preparation of part lists and delivery to SQM Contract Administration for full contract implementation. What We Are Looking For:College degree preferredMinimum 1 - 3 years data/database administration experience with experience in the electronics industry preferredMust be proficient with MS Excel (Concatenations, If Statements, Macro, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, X-Lookups)Must be familiar with MS Access (Query and Table creation)Comfortable working with part numbers and product associated with those part numbers.The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external resources to generate resultsPossesses the ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesSteady, thoughtful and professional performance and mature under pressureEffective communicator both orally and in writingStrong research and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal and organization skills.Must be able to make evaluative judgments based on data analysis The ability to build influential relationshipsArrow system experience, preferred
