FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies in the Naval Acquisition Development Program (NADP) with Naval Information Warfare Systems Command. Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will formulate budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities including presenting budget estimates, reviewing budget requests and reporting obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend alternative methods of financial management of organizational programs and administrative operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing budgetary and financial documentation for accuracy; 2) Performing arithmetical computations to verify accuracy documentation; 3) Providing technical advice concerning financial operations; and 4) Researching and analyzing accounting discrepancies to determine correction action. GS-07 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a computer system or an application to access, edit, print, send, or retrieve financial data; 2) Compiling financial information in an automated system to prepare reports; and 3) Assist with reconciliation of financial accounts. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Graduate education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work: GS-09 master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. GS-07 1 full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) through the following method (only one). No more than 10% of academic credit can be based on pass/fail or similar non-traditional grading systems.2.95 GPA overall or higher or in last 2 years (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail)3.45 GPA or higher in major or in last 2 years in major (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail)Upper 1/3 ranking in graduating class (You must submit proof with your application)National Scholastic Honor Society. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision.
