Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD. THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.) to streamline and simplify certain Department of Defense civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the Department of Defense. Responsibilities You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting obligations and expenditures. You will provide information and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will perform specialized work involving forecasting and interpreting functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. You will track and control of funds for special programs; analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing integrated federal financial management systems to include NERP and sub-systems to extract data. Experience identifying and resolving system problems. Experience maintaining data integrity. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
