FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Responsibilities You will provide information about, and interprets standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will assist in the formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing or advising on work in any phases or systems of budget administration; 2) Formulating budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities; 3) Reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control and reporting obligations and expenditures; 4) Applying accounting, budgetary and financial information to prepare information and summaries for management. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing budget estimates and financial reviews for accuracy and completion; 2) Developing, determining, and interpreting of budgetary policies and practices; 3) Preparing, reviewing and reconciling financial statements and financial reports to meet reporting requirements and to support management decisions; 4) Anticipating and meeting the needs of both internal and external customers.
