The opportunity


Join our Finance team to enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively. You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities. You will support EY planning, reporting, and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as administering engagements, pricing and budgeting, time and expense review, or invoicing.  You will also work with other parts of our organization, sharing your financial insights to drive better outcomes. Your key responsibilities

 

The Financial Management Associate (FMA) is an expert in the firm's engagement management systems. Our FMAs support the Client Serving Executive (CSE) with administrative tasks related to engagement oversight and provide a ready resource for financial data and analysis, with overall responsibility for engagement management and economics resting with the CSE.

 

Works closely with the CSE to provide pricing support and develop planned metrics Works with CSEs and cross-functional teams throughout the pursuit, client acceptance and engagement processes to ensure records contain accurate and up to date information Develops client and engagement economic measures Develops and monitors possible economic scenarios to be used in monitoring specific engagements Performs analysis of inventory balances. Monitors overall inventory levels and aging, and reports findings to the CSE and management teams Process adjustments to revenue based on regular discussions with the CSEs on budget updates and strong understanding of our internal systems Monitors client invoicing and collections, structures best practices around the same, and proactively encourages billing for "out-of-scope" work Works closely with the collection specialist and CSEs to ensure proper collection activities occur Performs special projects and ad hoc requests

To qualify for the role you must have

Business oriented B.A. (or equivalent) with 3-4 years (or more) of work experience OR a graduate business degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience Proficiency with the MS Office Applications, in particular MS Excel

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $56,400 to $84,600. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
