Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of Group AFS and liaising with Publishers on format and layout, etc. Prepare the legal entity financial statements on CaseWare for review as well as all legal and regulatory requirements and provide additional supporting analysis. Preparing and obtaining all supporting schedules across the group and assist with reviewing Group notes to the financial statements as well as all JSE listing requirements and provide any additional supporting analysis. Preparation of annual JSE proactive monitoring and any responses to questions or queries from the JSE all stakeholders internally. Preparation of board packs and presentations as required. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. Prepare the trading statements/updates as required. Prepare presentations/reporting packs for Board meetings, such as Board Audit Committee meetings, monthly Board meetings, etc. as required. Liaising with Company Secretarial, Finance Business Partners, CFO, Tax, Treasury, Strategy Office, etc. to ensure accuracy of information and reporting to the external market. Preparation of monthly and year end reporting timelines and deliverables and the distribution of these to the business. Provide technical accounting and any other ad-hoc support to finance in business and the shared services team on IFRS matters, disclosure items, new accounting standards, business combinations and technical accounting matters. Full technical support during acquisitions and integration of business to ensure accurately accounting and reporting. Research and draft Group Instructions/Frameworks for IFRS technical matters for both relevant team members and business units affected for deliverables/requirements for AFS preparation. Perform analyses on consolidated numbers to understand performance trends. Preparation of the analyst presentation at interim and year-end. Support investor relations team with analyst queries. Manage the internal and external audit in respect of the above functionsQualifications and Experience
CA(SA) (required) +2 to 3 years post article’s experience (required) Consolidation accounting experience (required) External and JSE reporting experience (required) Good statutory and reporting standards and regulations knowledge (required) CaseWare experience (preferable) SAP and BPC experience (preferable)Skills:
Very good knowledge of financial accounting and finance processes Very good understanding of accounting and reporting processes Strong IFRS technical knowledge Ability to work under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills Excellent planning skills Excellent attention to detailBehaviours:
