Faicape currently has a great opportunity for a Financial Manager that has become available. The Financial Manager will take responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of portfolio in Faircape Group.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Leadership, Direction & Management
Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting teams Management and involvement with the day-to-day operations of the payments teams, the debtors and invoicing team, and the management accountant teamsEnsuring the monthly management accounts are meaningful, and that all supporting documents are attached for any variances. All operations matters, work as part of the Senior Management Team to contribute financial and operational expertise in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, practices, etc.Responsible for reviewing financial systems, internal controls and proceduresManage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets To interact with Directors, Finance & Staffing Committees by providing financial reports and information to ensure sound financial and operational governanceEnsuring cashbooks, age analysis, are completed for the monthly management account packsPlanning and coordinating the external audit processReview the Annual Financial Statements of all entities Solution driven and have the ability to identify, develop & implement effective work processes, procedures and controls.Strategy
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management teamDefine financial requirements against mandated goals and objectives Improve operational systems, processes and policies - specifically, better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellenceDevelop financial goals and objectives for the teamDevelop financial policies and procedures for operational efficiencyReporting
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager Set budgets for each company and division.Analyse monthly accounts Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc as per due dates scheduledOversee the preparation of all financial reportingEnsure all department deliverables are met on timeMonitor the actual use of financial resources against the approved budgetProduce financial reporting that shows the organization’s financial position, operating performance and cash flow over a period time through the use of financial statementsCreate management reports on a regular basis that are relevant to decision making processesQualifications:
Minimum NQF 6 Level in Accounting/Management Accounting NQF Level 7 is advantageousExperience and Knowledge:
Relevant experience in commercial / corporate / operational environment in a managerial roleProven leadership skills is essential (experience in managing a corporate finance team/department)Knowledge of Xero Accounting System would be an advantageSolid knowledge of financial processes, systems and related lawsSkills and Attributes
