Summary About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division Office and located at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY. As Assistance Chief of Resource Management Division, you will be supervising a professional staff and providing financial support to the command staff and management. Responsibilities Serves as Assistant Chief, Resource Management Division Participates with the Resource Management Officer in assisting the Division Commander and Deputy Division Commander, in maintaining balance, economy, and efficiency in the accomplishment of programmed objectives. Performs day-to-day supervisory and management work providing policy decisions on both technical and administrative matter presented by the Accounting Officer and Budget Officer. Coordinates all short-term administrative and technical procedures among the organization, and keeps the Chief informed as to status of major actions and problems. Serves as advisor to the Division Commander, Deputy Division Commander, Directors, and chiefs of technical divisions for the establishment of broad policies to maintain balance, economy, and efficiency in the execution of Division program. Periodically briefs the Division Commander and staff on progress compared to objectives. Provides broad and specific policy guidance on Budget, management analysis, Finance and Accounting, Manpower Management, and other financial management activities to subordinate staff and six subordinate districts.
