Would you like to be able to put all of these skills together to support the Chubb Global Finance Shared Service Centre in Glasgow? Chubb have a new vacancy for a Financial Operations Change Manager to assist with all the above.
The role will report to Head of Financial Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive Operational Excellence within the SSC Team:
Bringing your own knowledge of “what good looks like”, you will be a key support person to assist with pursuing operational and process excellence.
This could involve working with the teams to investigate existing processes challenges or problems, document and summarise findings, problem solving, solution design, obtaining agreement with stakeholders, creation and management of project plans, delivery of the agreed solution with the finance team and other Chubb teams (e.g., IT), and change management.
The breadth of these operational improvements covers all areas of the Glasgow team.
• Support and manage new workload transitioning into the SSC Team:
Provide Project Management and analysis support across all new workload increases into the SSC team, ensuring that standard processes and practices are applied to new work and transition it into the BAU model effectively.
Ensure a consistent approach is taken to new workload opportunities and that all documentation and transition steps are completed appropriately.
• Champion for Continuous Improvement (CI) & Automation within the Glasgow SSC:
Act as the CI champion and driver of efforts in this area. Providing support, coaching and guidance to the team to ensure that similar types of improvements are consistent across the various teams and that standardisation of everything the SSC does is at the heart of any solution designs.
Empower the team to complete “Just Do It” improvements within the team.
• Point of Contact for external change and systems projects:
Be the key point of contact for projects that arise outside the SSC, which have an impact on the operations and processes in the teams. These are generally with the IT or systems teams but could also include other change projects.
Support the SSC teams though the impacts of the external change by providing Project Management support, assisting with impact analysis of the change on the BAU and supporting the teams through the change.
ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or international equivalent). If unqualified, candidates should demonstrate significant relevant QBE (Qualified by Experience)Good post qualified experience, especially with problem solving and continuous improvement projects or roles.Formal project management experience is desirable but not essential. Experience from involvement in several medium/large scale projects would be useful.Lean or Six Sigma intermediate training would be beneficial.Experience gained in large complex organisations or a Finance Shared Service Centre is desirableExperience in achieving change and managing change in a challenging environmentFinancial Services (banking or insurance) is desirable but not essential.Building positive relationships is key in this role. The position engages with many people across Chubb Global locations, so candidates must and have good relationship building skills and ability to influence and engage.
