DescriptionProgeny is entering an exciting phase of international growth and expansion, following the acquisition of The Fry Group. Together, we offer independent financial planning, asset management, tax and legal services, with offices in the UK and internationally (Hong Kong, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Belgium).
As part of this growth, we are looking for a Financial Planner to join our team in Hong Kong. We are interested in hearing from experienced Financial Planners who have a track record of managing client relationships in Hong Kong, as well as individuals who are earlier in their career as a Financial Planner.
As a Financial Planner, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with sound financial advice in line with SFC and IA rules and Company procedures. You will be supported by a team of professionals to deliver intelligent and creative solutions to client issues. You will communicate financial plans and advice concisely, ensuring that excellent client outcomes are consistently achieved and exceptional levels of client service delivered.
Key Responsibilities\nMeet clients’ demands, keeping them up to date with progress and engendering trust and respect.\nAssist in the delivery of independent financial plans and advice in accordance with Progeny’s regulatory standards and rules.\nCommunicate financial plans and advice in a simple and concise way, ensuring engagement and understanding with clients.\nAssist in the provision and implementation of suitable private client financial advice to meet and/or exceed agreed activity targets.\nManage ongoing reviews in line with client service agreements.\nProvide intelligent and creative solutions to client issues both reactively and proactively.\nLearn, understand and be able to successfully articulate all aspects of the firm’s financial planning proposition.\nComplete Continuous Professional Development to meet regulatory requirements, obtain annual CPT/CPD and personal development needs.\nAct as an ambassador for Progeny, using your established network or building relevant connections as part of a business development strategy.\n
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nFinancial planning qualifications to the standard of the CII’s Diploma in Financial Planning (Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable).\nThe relevant local regulatory exams in Hong Kong to be able to provide investment and insurance advice.\nProven experience in paraplanning or a technical role gained within an advisory practice.\nProven experience using and delivering a full range of provider products, services, and capabilities with experience of delivering them.\nExperience in a client-facing role, skilled in building and maintaining excellent client and internal relationships, within all parts of the business.\nDegree in Finance or a relevant field from an accredited institution (desirable).\n
