We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025. Overview

This role will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function at Joby. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The ability to manage processes efficiently to meet deadlines and support senior management reporting is essential. The candidate should have both the capability and enthusiasm to position Joby at the forefront of financial innovation and analytical excellence.

Responsibilities Own the forecasting and actual review process for the company, ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered in a timely mannerManage and continuously improve our FP&A software, ensuring the system provides key information accessible to both the FP&A team and decision-makers across functional teamsCoordinate the company's long-term planning process, developing rider based scenarios to help the business envision its future and build a stronger business modelCreate compelling reports to effectively communicate analysis results and key insights to non-finance personnel and the management team through multiple platforms (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, etc.)Fully understand financial results by investigating underlying drivers and providing precise business forecasts. Proactively recommend improvements to aid financial results of the organization including delivering cost savingsSupport day-to-day decision making with accurate and timely information to the CFO and investor relationsCollaborate with the accounting team to ensure high-quality financial resultsContinuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to strengthening the businessWork with the Head of Finance to develop a future-ready finance department using cutting-edge tools, methods, and approaches to create next-generation capabilitiesDirect and supervise a Finance Analyst to ensure high performance  Required 5+ years of experience in financial analysisBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or EconomicsStrong experience managing an FP&A toolFamiliarity with ERP systems and related technologies, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365Customer focused mindsetAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyImpeccable attention to detailA drive to overcome challenges and get the job doneEffective collaboration and communication skills Desired Significant experience with BI reporting toolsExperience in industries focused on manufacturing, R&D, or airlines EEO

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $106,700 - $142,300/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
