Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the preparation of the organization’s annual budget and for ensuring the forecast always reflects our best projections. This position assists in improving the organization’s financial performance by creating, reviewing and analyzing various spreadsheets and reports; developing, researching and preparing financial spreadsheets to predict current and future financial performance; working with mangers to identify and find solutions to various financial and operational concerns including revenue and expense variances from budget. This position also assists in exploring opportunities for organizational growth and expansion.

Forecasting: Ensures that the forecast always reflects our best projections. Budgets: Directs the annual budgeting process in Adaptive software for the organization with focus on the income statement, personnel, calculation of fringes, capital budget, and assumptions sheets. The goal is to minimize the internal resources required by staff in the budgeting process while achieving a realistic budget that is understandable and promotes accountability. Employs appropriate analytical tools such as trend line, historical values, metrics/benchmarks to effectively evaluate the reasonableness of budgeted values Financial Reports and Analysis: Creates, prepares and reviews financial reports and analysis to assist in improving the organization’s financial performance. Leadership and Management of Staff: Provides leadership and management of staff by providing clear goals and objectives, staff development, retention and appropriate distribution of responsibilities to ensure departmental process and procedures are effectively and efficiently delivered to all internal and external customers. Administrative: Assist with various administrative reports and duties in the Finance Department.
Job Pay & Perks:
Pay range: $86,530 - $117,070 This is a flexible-hybrid role whose essential functions allow the employee to primarily work from a personal home office but also require the employee to work at a physical GESMN or partner facility as business needs require, sometimes with great urgency and little notice. About You:
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of general accounting standards and practices (GAAP). Advanced Excel kills and proficiency in Windows and other Microsoft applications. Demonstrated ability to interpret accounting information and knowledge of how to use accounting information to improve business performance Demonstrated ability to translate a financial problem or request for information into an appropriate and meaningful response. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Excellent analytic, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills. Proficient in presentation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and high-level of accuracy. Strong desire to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize. High level of initiative and self-motivation, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Prior Experience & Education:
Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience required. 2 years supervisory experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred. Non-profit accounting experience preferred. Experience with Adaptive budgeting software preferred. Retail analysis experience preferred. Experience with ERP systems required.
