The Global Finance Shared Service (FSS) is a new organization that is part of the finance function; bringing finance and accounting experts together so they can share their expertise and collaborate to standardize and enhance processes and tools. Included in this organization is the Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) in Pune, India which is a unified team comprised of Finance Professionals and Data Scientists driving centralized Financial and Analytical support across all of the Wolters Kluwer global divisions. The diverse capabilities of the team are focused on Finance Reporting Harmonization (Data Governance), Technology Enablement (Simplify, Standardize, Automate), Reporting and Analytic Enhancements (BI Dashboards). The Finance CoE has established skill-based training programs (Knowledge sharing forums) encouraging continuous learning while fostering strong engagement and belonging.
Requires significant specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise, conceptual and practical knowledge of theories and principles, and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices within financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This position will provide oversight and support of annual budget, 3 year strategic plans, month end close, and Business Case modeling. Support includes monthly financial and operational reporting on key initiatives, input for the annual budget, partnership with the accounting team to review and propose journal entries for monthly close processes, analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management, generating forecasts and analyzes trends, creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions, exercises considerable foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and executing on initiatives, and contributes to the development of functional strategy. The position will also be a resource to the larger Enterprise Function Finance organization in support of financial projects and major initiatives.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
The Financial Planning Associate Director will support GBCM, GLCD, Corporate Strategy and M&A, and HR organizations, contributing to productivity and profitability through the execution of strong performance metric analysis. Through analyzing complex financial data, engage multi-stakeholder groups in strategic decision making, providing tactical information for sound execution. The Financial Planning Associate Director will help guide BU’s where needed and make recommendations to Division Finance management for establishing and achieving critical metrics and milestones. This individual will assess alternatives and suggest and/or implement an appropriate course of action to improve overall financial performance.
As a Financial Planning Associate Director, you'll lead complex financial projects with considerable autonomy. You will provide expert financial guidance, support strategic planning efforts, and make substantial contributions to the organization's financial health and strategy.

Actively contribute to the optimization of central organizations through accurate budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting.Own the performance management process from target setting, budgeting, forecasting, and actual, variance and trend analysis, ensuring effective communication and understanding of performance and help drive the decision-making process as possible.Focusing on cost efficiencies, by deep diving into business drivers and KPIs, provide guidance, challenge plans, offer solutions, and bring a critical eye to evaluating financial performance across the Division, responsible for key metrics/analytics for BAU processes.Strive for Financial Excellence:
Accuracy on all data being analyzed and recommended. Drive highest quality quarterly forecasts, budget & Vision Strategy Planning deliverables on areas of responsibility, ensuring clear communications and critical thinking applied to analysis and recommendations.Look with critical eye on any process in responsibility sphere to suggest to Division Directors or VP’s areas to improve that will drive Division results and / or improve effectiveness/productivity of the Division FP&A Finance team or broader Finance organization.Assist and oversee month end processes relating to areas of responsibility, ensuring accounting excellence underlying the reported results are understood, accurate and aligned with Finance expectations.Skills:

Job Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.Strong understanding of financial reporting, planning, and accounting processes.Experience:
12+ years of experience in Finance with strong demonstration of leadership, business partnering capabilities and controls & compliance culture in a matrix and multinational environment.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
Demonstrated experience with global operations.
Aware of differences in current relevant country laws and regulations and ability to guide compliance.
Must be capable of multitasking, prioritization, decision making and able to manage multiple systems, data sets and priorities.
TraVEl requirements
Minimal travel might be required.
