Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a **Financial Regulatory and Risk Reporting** position located in either Jacksonville, FL 32256 zip code.
**Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (possible temp – perm)**
**Pay Rate: $** **53.57/HR**
Job Summary:
The responsibility of this role includes analysis of data used in the submission of regulatory reports to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The successful candidate will have basic background and ideally have some experience in Banking and regulatory reporting is a plus. This specific role will be much more involved in analysis of data elements, researching items in meta data tools such as lineage, Critical data elements data bases as well as preparation of MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation on the results of this analysis. This involves written communication to management and other project stakeholders in a clear, concise, and useful manner.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Analyze the end-to-end data flows and maintain large data sets of data elements, reports, schedules, critical data elements and details on adjustments performed in financial and regulatory reporting. The goal is to clearly articulate inefficiencies, inaccuracies and control issues through the analysis of this data.
+ Do root cause analysis of the identified issues and map out tactical and make strategic recommendations for process/control modifications. Work to improve the accuracy and quality of information for regulatory and financial reporting.
+ Work with data content including large lists of meta data such as critical data elements, data dictionaries and platforms that maintain this type of data. Work with the appropriate owner of meta data platforms to ensure and maintain the content in these platforms.
+ Be able to set and then manage your own book of work and plan with clear communication and constant escalation of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID)
+ Maintain good relationships and good understanding with key internal parties (Operations, Business Finance, Financial Reporting) in support of the legal entity and regulatory reporting.
+ Will maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders as it pertains to regulatory reporting change initiatives.
+ Contribute value added and strategic insight to organizational areas within the firm including within Group Finance and other stakeholders throughout the businesses. Work closely with changes teams in all parts of the bank to implement strategic projects that may impact financial and regulatory reporting.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
+ 3 -7+ years of basic banking experience and preferably in the reporting area and Regulatory Reporting at a Global Investment Bank
+ Higher level user of Excel and PowerPoint. Other data analytics tools a plus
+ Knowledge of the general ledgers (e.g., SAP) and banking products and its related activities
+ Accounting firm experience or accounting and finance within a financial institution
+ Ability to work autonomously but will provide specific guidance/direction on projects.
+ Solid practical skill set in Excel and needs to be experienced user of more advanced functions such as pivot tables in excel.
+ Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, aligned with excellent attention to detail and time management.
+ Strong Communication skills is a must.
+ Possess basic knowledge of basic accounting in banks and preferably in the regulatory reporting areas in CFO.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills required.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strict reporting deadlines.
+ Possess the following skills: Excel and other MS tools, database/data warehouse management, other related data analytical skills
+ Ability to demonstrate business/product knowledge in banking.
+ Understand the basic products and line items on balance sheet of a large bank. E.g. Loans, Trading Assets (fixed income and equities), Deposits and other assets.
+ A basic understanding of the organizational structure of a bank and general knowledge of accounting/reporting requirements
