Summary: Responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan and other banking products and services. High degree of proficiency in consumer and business deposit products, consumer / home lending, with an added emphasis on business lending and credit management. Proactively identifies opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, outside calling, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, and sourcing referrals from customers, bank colleagues and partners. Responsible for consistent business development and calling program while servicing walk-in customers. Active in community and developing key business and community relationships. Educates and refers customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships pursuant to OCR guidelines. Strong comfort level with technology and educates customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking) so they can bank more conveniently and better manage their money. Maintains knowledge of all products, services, technology and policies. Has the knowledge to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently and balance daily, while providing exemplary customer service, resolving issues and educating customers on bank technology, products and services. Adheres to all operational, security, risk and regulatory related policies and procedures. Demonstrates acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
A Relationship Banker plays a key role in looking out for our consumer and business customers. You are responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan and other banking products and services.
Your responsibilities include:
+ Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
+ Proactively identifies opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, and sourcing referrals from customers, bank colleagues and partners.
+ Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships.
+ Educating customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking)
+ Maintaining your knowledge of all products, services, technology and policies.
+ Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
+ Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 2 years customer service and sales in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales. Can include military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs or similar role.
+ 1 year consumer and business deposit products - lending knowledge OR Business to Business sales experience

+ Bachelor's Degree

Compensation Range:
$23.00-$27.00 Hourly
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
