Kforce's client, a publicly traded company in the greater Washington, DC metro area is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to join their finance team. This role will focus on assisting with SEC reporting and technical accounting matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in U.S. GAAP, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Financial Reporting Accountant will assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings * Support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations * Conduct research on complex accounting issues and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards * Perform variance analysis on financial statements and prepare supporting documentation for quarterly and annual reports * Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and schedules for audit purposes * As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures for external financial reporting * Ensure compliance with SOX controls and assist in enhancing financial reporting processes * Participate in ad-hoc technical accounting projects, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, or stock compensation
