Get to Know the Opportunity:
This position is the lead over monthly/quarterly accounting and reporting for Fixed Assets. Primary responsibilities include partnering with offshore staff on the accounting close and reconciliation processes and partnering with internal partners to ensure adherence to the Company’s fixed asset accounting policies.
Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. This role does require Eastern Standard Time work hours.
The Contributions You'll Make:
Responsible for performing monthly and quarterly fixed assets accounting and reporting
Prepare, compile and review journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with company policies, procedures and controls
Prepare and review corporate accounting related deliverables to financial reporting teams to ensure the timely, accurate completion of U.S. GAAP and statutory reporting financial reports for all required filings
Develop and utilize various analytical reports and procedures to assist with the understanding and validation of ledger balances
Interact with internal and external auditors as needed and support the interim and year-end financial statement audit
Ability to lead and oversee the interactions between lower level team members (including offshore resources) and functional areas
Stay abreast of new capitalization activity and assists with technical accounting research.
Perform problem solving and analysis
Recommend process improvements, lead problem solving sessions and provide functional advice to less experienced analysts.
Lead various projects as assigned including process improvement initiatives related to the financial close including implementation of new or expanding the usage of existing financial reporting tools
Coordinate personal property tax return and payment activity with internal and external partners

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelors degree in accounting
CPA required
5+ years corporate and public accounting experience required
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A self-starter, self motivated, self disciplined and performance driven
Experience with Oracle software is a plus
Strong knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
