Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Financial Reporting Project Accountant to come on a contract basis with an oil and gas company in Downtown Houston, onsite 2-3 days per week. This role will be reporting to the Controller, the position will support the design and implementation of projects to enhance the quality, efficiency and consistency of upstream operational accounting and financial reporting. These projects include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of one-off technical accounting matters, accounting coordination of system implementations and enhancements, and leading the design and implementation of process improvements, policies and controls. In addition, this individual will play a key role in assessing the accounting considerations of acquisitions to ensure appropriate onboarding and integration into the business. As a utility player, this individual will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, set and reassess priorities, and drive critical special projects to completion to ensure the accounting department can execute the Companys ambitious goals.
